MODULE 1: FTP task

Like most excercises in this subject so far i was vaguely familiar with ftp clients and found the task quite daunting at first as i wasnt sure how to go about attacking it the right way.

1) I began by logging onto www.ftpplanet.com/download.htm> and downloading WS-FTP Home and installed the program once it was complete.

2) I eventually logged on and ftp'd to recall.curtin.edu.au and chose anonymous login. This bit i found quite easy to do.

3) Once accessed I looked at the directory structure as stated in the task and found the README file which i proceeded to download.

4) Once this was downloaded I was able to answer the question and fill in the blank word: "according to the readme file, 'CAPITALIZATION MATTERS' ". Needless to say because i was very in-experienced with FTP I was very glad to get a result.

I found this task quite helpful in developing my ftp skills as I have only ever used the program once before as my brother needed help sending big files of photos to a magazine and that is how you are suppose to send big files through to the magazines editor. Anyway now I can help him out with using FTP.
